 Tok Sen

Tok-Sen is an ancient Thai treatment that involves the use of a special wooden hammer to relax muscles in a rhythmically tapping motion. Tok Sen in Thai means to ‘clear blocked energy’; it is technique using mechanical effects and sound vibration, working deeply through the fascia and muscles.  This unique healing is found in the Chiang Mai area of Northern Thailand.  The benefits of this energetic healing treatment, are to help improve energy flow, increase circulation, relieve from stiff and tight muscles, and improve nerve functions and other chronic pain disorders.

Chi Nei Tsang

Coming originally from old Taoist Monastic tradition, Chi Nei Tsang practice manually induces the body healing from the abdomen. The Taoist observed that we often develop energy blockages in our organs that result in knots and tangles in our abdomens. These obstructions, caused by overwork, stress, accidents, surgery, drugs, toxins, poor food and bad posture, occur at the center of the body and constrict the flow of Chi (energy), our life-force, resulting in negative emotions: fear, anger, anxiety, depression, and worry.  This treatment helps strengthen and detoxify the body, by manually stimulating all the metabolic functions.  It improves the digestive system, absorption of nutrients, elimination of toxins, breathing, digestive and lymphatic systems, blood circulation and hormonal balance.  There are a few different styles of Chi Nei Tsang practice.  We learned Chi Nei Tsang from Master Ohm Rinraya who follows the style of A.Bunjong Pun (Khun Ni.)

Nuad Boran - Thai Bodywork

Nuad Boran (known in various forms as Thai Yoga, Thai Bodywork, and other terms) originated in Thailand over 2,000 years ago. Healing principles of Thai system focuse on the circulation of vital energy in major pathways called 'sen'. The ten energy lines and important pressure points along these pathways are stimulated to help ease energy blockages to promote energy flow and restore balance and harmony.

Our service integrates yoga postures which are performed on the recipient. Through assisted yoga, the body is stretched in ways that are difficult to attain through individual exercise and yoga practice. The result of a full-body Thai bodywork is often a powerful mind/body healing experience, bringing both the recipient and the practitioner to heightened states of physical and spiritual well-being.

The practitioner moves the receiver through various positions.  Every movement is designed to support the receiver as well as the practitioner.  Some positions include: seated, lying on your back, side lying and prone (face down).  Each session is given in silence to allow the practitioner to understand the receiver's body and give her/him a chance to focus and meditate.  At the end of a session, the receiver will feel relaxed and energized.

Session Duration: 1 1/2 hr

* Thai Bodywork is performed on a padded floor mat with the receiver fully clothed. Loose fitting or flexible clothing is recommended, such as sweatpants and comfortable shirt.
